You have just retired or about to do so and want to enjoy your retirement? You are not in that age group but want to plan for when you are? You are concerned about your financial situation? You don’t or won’t have a pension? You want to “Make Money At Home?” Only a few years ago you had to live with this situation, but not any longer.

This is the Age of the Internet and you can make money on it if you are given the right information on how to do so.

Because you are “Home Alone” much of the time you might also wish to meet other people. It is nice to have others to talk to hearing what they have achieved and sharing your own success.

You won’t be into Internet Marketing long before you are told that the first thing you must do is:

BUILD YOUR LIST

You are no doubt asking yourself “How do I do that?”

There are 3 strands:

1. Somewhere to Advertise. If you don’t advertise no one knows that you, your web site, or program you are promoting (be it your own or someone else’s) exists. Some forms of advertising are public in that everyone can use them and some that are “private”, i.e. you and those you are advertising to have to sign up and belong to the program. The private ones operate on the principle that those who have signed up agree to receive emails from each other. More will be said on this in another post.

2. A means to get the name and email address from those who visit your site, or blog. These are called Lead Capture/Squeeze Page. They are only 1 page which tells those who access them what is on offer and provide a form for people to fill in. Which brings us to:

3. An autoresponder where the information they give is stored and from where messages are sent out to them on a regular basis.

Before doing anything else you need to decide what it is that you want to promote. Ask yourself what it is you know a lot about, what you are passionate about, etc and then do some research to see if others are interested in these things. You may not wish to concentrate on a single subject, be it hobbies, health, internet marketing, etc, but on a specific group of people, i.e. those who have retired, live in certain part of the world, wish to travel, etc.

Once you have established what it is you want to promote you will have to get a domain name reflecting it and somewhere to host the blog, web site, etc that you will make.

And also an autoresponder.

You can get somewhere to host your web site, blog an autoresponder and everything else you need as seperate items, you can also get them as an integrated package with everything else you need to run a successful Home Based Business. No one can know everything about any topic and we all need each other. More and more people are joining the internet business and you can get yourself lost in the crowd. But against this more business are reaching out to those who have just started, are floundering around and not knowing how to proceed, etc. How they have done this is by setting up conference rooms and inviting people to come to them for training, help etc. Others use Skype in the same way.
